Project Manager

The Project Manager will be part of the Faktion’s Delivery team. He/she takes responsibility for client projects and products and works together closely with colleagues in Sales, Presales and Engineering. As a Project Manager you will be responsible to ensure that the projects are delivered on-time, on-scope and on-budget while ensuring continuous alignment between all stakeholders. You anticipate and manage risks related to project delivery. Last but not least, strong Project Management requires good People Management skills.

You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-growing Belgian AI scale-up, working either in our office in Antwerp, at the client site or remote at home.

Main Responsibilities:
- check Coordinate with colleagues and clients
- check Ensure the timely and proper execution of client projects in collaboration with Sales and Engineering
- check Define and control project scope, collect & prioritize (additional) requirements
- check Backlog management
- check Plan, coordinate and monitor project & product milestones
- check Perform project implementation, configuration, budget - and resource planning
- check Inform relevant stakeholders on progress and initiate action in case of conflicts
- check Review work submitted by team members;
- check Present project results with compelling slides
- check Collect input & feedback from clients during presales & project meetings
- check Work with project team to evaluate final deliverables before submission to the client
- check Facilitate post project meetings and retrospectives to establish project takeaways
- check Assess team member performance during and after projects.
- check Be a true ambassador for Faktion and share new opportunities at clients with colleagues in Sales
- check Analyse customer processes to seamlessly integrate our solutions and untap, additional value potential

Job requirements
- check You have significant experience (preferably 4 years or more) in the software development industry, with a minimum of 2 years as (assistant) project or product manager.
- check You have hands-on experience in Agile or Lean software development methods.
- check Entrepreneurial mindset with a ‘getting things done’ attitude
- check Ambition to build industry-leading AI solutions
- check You are a team player and have the ability to motivate people by demonstrating management and leadership.
- check You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written, and you know how to communicate with stakeholders at different levels. Knowledge French is a plus. You are confident but also assertive when needed
- check You use a hands-on approach in dealing with complex projects and are keen on thinking outside the box to support your own creativity.
- check You are able to work in an environment with rapidly changing priorities. You maintain high quality standards, but can find a balance between quality, flexibility and timely delivery.

Technical skills
- check You have a solid understanding of Scrum including sprint planning, releases, backlogs and Scrum ceremonies.
- check You have hands-on experience with JIRA and collaboration software for software development like Confluence.
- check You have demonstrated project management abilities, you are able to create a project plan, assign and manage resources to different project phases, and report on progress.
- check You have a good understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
